Balancing work and family life

It’s never an easy task to balance a career with family life and raising children. Parents today are under increasing pressure and are often pushed nearly to the breaking point. As a business that has been family-owned for three generations, Silhouette wants to help our employees find a good work-life balance.

At the Silhouette Group, our family values make us who we are. That’s why we are doubly keen to ensure that career doesn’t take precedence over family life. Family is a key part of our company history, not least in how we work internationally. From day one, we always wanted to be a sustainable business in every respect. And we also realize that our success is down to the people who work here.

To help our employees look after their kids, we teamed up with local childcare providers Rosenbauer and PEZ/Haas and opened a company daycare center, Villa RoSiPez, on September 7, 2015. Located in the middle of a large garden, the two-storey childcare facility is surrounded by a large playground, with plenty of space for the little ones to play. The rooms are spacious too. And the interiors have been fitted out to a high standard to provide a bright, friendly environment.

Time spent with our children is precious, so we are very proud to be supporting families at Silhouette. After all, spending time with our loved ones is one of the best things in life.
